She was the very famous author of the book To kill a Mockingbird, many of our students at school have read.
The Guardian obituary says she was a Pulitzer prize winner who wrote one of the most widely loved American novels.
It took her 60 years to have a new book published, Go set a Watchman . This last novel was released just last August.
